How to Enter, Scoring, Prize Money and Rules

  1. From the list of 46 horses above, select 5 horses to follow in the Jersey Race Club
    races during the period of the competition. A list of 5 costs £5.00
  2. Entry forms should be completed neatly in capital letters.
  3. You may submit as many entries as you wish, however each must be made on an
    official entry form. Extra entry forms are obtainable by telephoning 863484 or
    please photocopy original.
  4. Retain a copy of your entries, as copies cannot be provided.
  5. Selections count when they compete in Jersey Race Club races under the Rules of the Channel Island Racing and Hunt Club.
  6. The competition commences on 5th April 2010 which is the date of the first racemeeting of the season. However entries can still be accepted up until 2.20pm on 16th May, which is the date of the second meeting. Where entries are accepted after 2.20pm on the 5th April points will only be awarded from the meeting on 16th May onwards and the results of the meeting on 5th April will not apply. The competition ends on 30th August 2010.
  7. Each selection will be awarded points as follows:
    • A win = 10 points
    • The winner of the feature race at each meeting = 20 points
    • The winners of the CI Champion Hurdle, The Jersey Derby and The Clarendon = 30 points 
  8. In the event of a dead-heat, the points will be divided by the number of horses deadheating; no points will be awarded for a walk-over. 
  9.  In the event of a tie for any place, the dividends for the places concerned will be
    shared. 
  10.  Entries once received cannot be altered or amended.
  11. Only horses contained on the list above are eligible and must be entered by their
    respective names.
  12. A progress report will appear in the Race Card at each meeting.
  13. Entries can only be accepted from Members of the Jersey Race Club*.
